About Larry

For the last 7 years — excluding these COVID days — I've played well over 400 live shows a year – to thousands of people – and I’ve seen how music and laughter can brighten someone’s day!

I love doing that!

In fact, I have a Master's in therapeutic recreation. It's my passion to make people feel joy and laughter.

Through my keyboard, I emulate the experience of an eight-piece band. My versatile voice rounds out the sound. Between songs, I throw in some one-liners.

I have performed my repertoire of more than 1,000 popular hits from the ‘20’s to the ‘80’s to audiences of all kinds —senior centers, libraries, park districts, and municipal agencies, as well as for corporate and private events. I'm now doing live shows  and ready to come to your community.

Larry started learning piano when he was 4 and guitar when he was 13, and began performing professionally while living abroad in Spain. Back in the US, he studied voice under the legendary vocal coach Mark Baxter whose students include Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, and members of Van Halen and the Goo Goo Dolls. In 1998, he switched from guitar, performing professionally with Yamaha arranger keyboards. He currently uses the Yamaha PSR-S900, which allows him to play an eclectic collection of hundreds of musical styles with a touch of a button. His solos create sounds that are breathtakingly real, covering the full spectrum of instrumentation from electric and grand pianos and guitars, to organs, accordions, harmonicas, xylophones, saxophones, trumpets, strings, woodwinds, and ethnic instruments. He layers the sounds to create a stunning rainbow of symphonic voices. Over the last 8 years, Larry has played over 2,500 virtual and live shows in the metro-Chicago area. His act now includes funny anecdotes, timely jokes, and comedic bits in between his musical performance.
